Handmade soap - shea and coco butter base

These gorgeous soaps are handmade in small batches, so each soap bar looks different. They contain no cosmetic or food colouring, but are naturally coloured with clays or plant extracts. Nor are there any artificial fragrances which many people find unpleasant. Only essential oils are used for fragrance, carefully chosen for their uplifting or calming effects. In addition, only unrefined and virgin oils are in the soap to maximise retention of their beneficial properties. They are a pleasure to use, a world apart from the industrially made soaps most of us were brought up on. They are naturally high in glycerin and contain oils that clean and condition the skin without drying it.

Where possible organic ingredients are used. When ingredients are bought from third world countries they purchase only from businesses operating under fair trade principles. For example they currently buy unrefined shea butter, virgin cocoa butter, virgin coconut oil and wrapping paper from fair trade businesses.

Shea and cocoa butter soaps have a rich creamy lather with plenty of bubbles. These soaps are extremely popular, and contain predominantly organic olive oil, together with organic virgin coconut oil, unrefined shea butter and virgin cocoa butter. Many people who can't use normal soap find that these soaps are safe for their skin.

This combination of essential oils is said to be calming. The soap is swirled with plant-derived colour and textured with crushed organic lavender petals.

Green clay and tea-tree

This soap is popular with men and women. The fragrance is reminiscent of the Australia bush. Green clay and oatbran are helpful for oily skins. Oatbran fragments scattered through the soap are mildly exfoliating. This is one of our most popular soaps. Patchouli and rose geranium combine with mandarin to create a feeling of self-indulgence. A very smooth soap swirled with pink Argiletz clay.

This combination of essential oils is uplifting. The soap is swirled with yellow plant derived colour and flecked with organic calendula petals. Lemon myrtle, rosewood and cedarwood atlas

The scent of this soap is dominated by lemon myrtle and underpinned by two woody essential oils. The dark flecks are organic fair trade coffee granules. In addition to being a wonderful pick-me-up, lemon and coffee act as a natural deodoriser making this soap as useful in the kitchen as in the shower. Very popular with men and women.
