it's ok to stare. beautiful isn't it? Sinngih Kartono, the designer of this clock left his village in Indonesia to study design at university. each time he returned to his home village he noticed a greater decline in farm production and intensified production programs that were being promoted by the governement. this of course resulted in decreased income and hardship for his community. he decided to create a sustainable business which could provide employment for some of these people. the result is a business which supports most of his village with employment. trees are planted to replenish the wood used in the products. more than 1000 to date have grown into young trees. yes, i have a lot to say here. that's because there is a lot to admire about Sinngih, his creations and the people of his home village. klocky is made of native indonesian woods including sono. each time a tree is felled to make these beautiful products another has been planted. the local school is very involved in this process to educate the kids about sustainable practices. 12cm high x 10.5cm wide x 3.5cm deep simply put your battery in and adjust the time
